Each puzzle starts with a beginner level named ‘Level 1’, and as you play and score points, the level of difficulty increases.

The scoring criteria depends on how swiftly you answer. Your results are ranked between 1-5 stars, and each performance is rewarded with a ‘brain’. The more brains you manage to achieve, the easier it will be to retry the current round again. Also, you have to redo each puzzle until you get it right, helping you to improve your memory.


There are many interesting games in Skills, and each one is specifically tailored to exercise a certain brain skill. Although there are several other physical ways to exercise your brain but when it comes to app, some of our favorites were the number games, in which the player has to look for a different number within rows and columns of identical numbers. Other games consist of complex figures in scattered pairs, waiting to be aligned together. Some puzzles also have a visual challenge to them, in which the player is expected to choose among 4 similar designs. Color organization games are also an excellent way to improve color coordination within the brain.

Each one of the games is unique and fun to play. You can also play it as a multi-player challenge with friends and family. A maximum of 4 players can play it at a time, and the person who wins in the multiplayer mode will get a bonus of 5 brains! It’s a great way to unlock achievements and spend quality time with your loved ones. You can also share your results on social media to boast about your excellent results and to stay motivated.


The basic version of Skillz is free, and the in-app purchases range between $1-$12. That means, you can keep on playing the basic version without spending a penny!
